Caught in the Net
A documentary about child abuse on the internet.
3 actresses, 3 rooms, 10 days and 2458 sexual predators. A radical experiment that opens up the taboo subject of child abuse on the Internet in an urgent way.
Three adult actresses with childlike facial features were tasked with pretending to be 12 years old through fake social media profiles. In faithful replicas of their childhood rooms, they chatted and skyped with men who had sought them out online and approached them. The vast majority of these men demanded sex via webcam, sent pictures of their penises, links to porn of all genres or even tried to blackmail the girls. The documentary tells the gripping drama of three heroines, aka "12-year-old girls", from casting to face-to-face meetings with predators under the watchful eye of security guards and six hidden cameras. Predatory tactics thus turn against their creators and the hunters become the hunted.
